Urvann was founded by ISB and IIM-A alums. Their mission is to make every urban home a vann or a garden, from where it derived its name, “URVANN”. Urvann is the first hyperlocal marketplace in India for plants and gardening supplies, linking enthusiasts with nearby nurseries and offering free fresh plant delivery the next day. Urvann’s goal is to revolutionize the gardening sector by addressing two of its main issues, the scarcity of online gardening supplies and the difficulty of delivering fresh, healthy plants because of lengthy transit times. Urvann right now is a growing startup that desires an ecologically sustainable home. The business currently spreads over the cities of Bangalore and Delhi NCR (including places like Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Noida). Urvann follows a highly ‘localized model’ meaning that it brings, in the various nurseries nearby and helps in delivering the desired plant in less than a day. It not only provides plants but also provides all the other materials required for gardening. Urvann is an example of creative urban planning for transforming urban houses into vans or gardens.
